New Supervisee Orientation Videos

This three-part video series will walk you through the basics you need to get started at OpenGate. We’ll begin with the OpenGate onboarding process and the resources available to you, then zoom out to look at the fundamentals of setting up and running a small private practice, and finally walk through the basics of using Simple Practice at OpenGate.

These videos are designed to give you a solid foundation and help you understand not only what you need to do to get started, but how all the pieces fit together. New supervisees should complete the series early in the onboarding process and use it alongside the resources, forms, and additional trainings available in the Clinician Hub.

Part 1- Onboarding at OpenGate

This video walks you through the OpenGate onboarding process from start to finish. We’ll cover required paperwork and procedures, introduce you to the Clinician Hub and the resources available there, and talk about the order in which you should approach your onboarding and training. Start here—this video will help you understand what needs to happen first and where to find what you need as you get up and running.

Part 2- Starting a Private Practice

Working at OpenGate also means learning how to build and manage your own small private practice. In this video, we step outside of OpenGate-specific procedures and look at the bigger picture: business planning, setting up your office, creating workflows and systems, and the basic operational pieces that help a private practice run smoothly. The goal is to help you begin thinking like both a clinician and a small-business owner.

Part 3- Simple Practice Basics

This video introduces you to Simple Practice and how we use it at OpenGate. We’ll walk through the basic layout and functions of the platform and show you the parts you’ll use most often as you begin working with clients. This is an introductory tour rather than an in-depth training—you’ll find additional trainings and resources in the Clinician Hub as you begin using Simple Practice in your day-to-day work.
